Your Variety Photog:

I come from a family of photographers. My mother, faculty at a university, has taken no less than 100,000 photos since the 80s. She let me take her film camera when I really started to love photography at 20. My grandfather never put down the old school film video camera that I still have sitting on my bookshelf; A sentimental relic that reminds me of the gift of photography that I have inherited.

I work for Duke University in the Divinity School' s Admissions Office, often photographing seminary life. My wife, Jayne, is an amazing cook, loves all things Disney, and is the perfect enneagram 2 to my 8. We love camping, travel, Disney, long convos about religion and politics, hanging out 24/7.

I'm passionate about LGBT+ liberating theologies, radical racial justice, ecology, womanism, and harm reduction. My hope is to be a partner in helping people remember life's everyday moments, as well as the "once in a lifetime" moments. I am pursuing my call to ordained ministry as an Elder in the United Methodist Church, which means I care a lot about pastoral care, even while I'm photographing.

All my love and respect,

Eliza
